TYPS OPERATIONS:

  • Supports youth who want to reduce behaviour that put youth at risk.

  • Researches and develops programs with youth to help them achieve their full potential.

  • Establishes a code of standards for youth programs and youth centres.

  • Organizes an Annual TYPS conference of youth participating in youth centres.

  • Is a central research and resource organization that provides support and training to youth.

  • Offers educational activities, conferences, workshops, skills training opportunities, resource material and networking for youth throughout Canada

  • Provides training workshops in resource development and sustainability of operations.

  • Provides a Policy and Procedure Development Manual to inform youth about operating programs and centres.

  • Operates with a parallel Board of youth Board of Directors.
